How do I add my roster?

From the squad screen, tap the + to create a team, then either import a CSV roster, scan a printed roster with your camera, or add players one at a time from the Roster tab. Each player needs a primary position so Subbit knows which rotation line they belong to.

What's the difference between Equal Playing Time, Tactical Optimization, and Manual Mode?

Every team starts in Manual Mode: you decide every substitution yourself, with no automated suggestions. Turning on Equal Playing Time has Subbit split minutes as evenly as possible across every rotating player. Tactical Optimization instead favors lineup strength, factoring in each player's attributes. The two are mutually exclusive — turning one on turns the other off.

Where do I set how long a shift should be?

Settings › Automated Rotations, once Equal Playing Time or Tactical Optimization is on. You can set a different shift length for defenders, midfielders, and forwards — goalkeepers don't rotate under either mode.

How does Subbit tell me a substitution is due?

A player's on-field circle glows as their shift winds down, and the Sub Queue popup surfaces the swap with a live countdown. You can also turn on sound alerts (Settings › Sounds) for an upcoming-sub chime and a due-now chime, each with its own lead time.

Does the Apple Watch app need its own setup?

No — once your iPhone and Watch are paired, the Subbit watch app mirrors whichever match is currently running on your phone automatically: the clock, who's due, and a one-tap Confirm All. Nothing to configure on the Watch itself.

I paused by accident — does that mess up playing-time tracking?

No. Pausing freezes every on-field player's clock at the same instant, so the moment you resume, everyone's shift picks back up exactly where it left off.

Is Subbit free?

Yes — core rotation tracking, the Apple Watch companion, and Equal Playing Time are free for one team. Subbit Pro adds Tactical Optimization, Auto-Swap, and shareable official match reports.

Where is my roster and match data stored?

On your device. Subbit doesn't run its own account system or server-side database for your roster, so there's nothing to export or delete elsewhere — removing the app removes the data. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

How do I cancel a Subbit Pro subscription?

Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple: open the Settings app on your iPhone › your name › Subscriptions › Subbit, and cancel from there. We never see or handle billing directly.
